  • 11/6/09  04:54 The Blue Knob VFD dispatch o assit station 70 with a structure fire.  Location given was 322 Bedford St.  Engine/Tanker 86-21 responded on the call.  Chief 70-01 arrived on-scene and placed station 86 back in service.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 8 on the call.  Chief 70-01 had command.
  • 11/5/09 21:13 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist to HALAS unit 414. Location given was Building C room 1503 of the Blue Knob All Seasons Resort.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded on the call.  QRS arrived on-scene and assisted ALS with extrication and a lift assist.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 10 on the call.
  • 11/3/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for traffic control due to a tree down on powerlines.  Location given was Right Hand Gap Rd approx. 1 mile from the Left Hand Gap split.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded on the call.  Crews arrived on-scene to find the power company working to clear the tree and restore power to the area.  86-31s crew provided traffic control while Valley Rural cleared the scene.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 14 on the call. 
  • 10/18/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a tree down on the roadway.  Location given was Right Hand Gap Rd near the Barnes Farm.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded on the call.  Units arrived on-scene and removed a tree from the roadway.  All units then returned to service.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 8 on the call.  
  • 10/18/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box for a tree down on the roadway.  Location given was Johnstown Rd in the area of the Long Farm.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded.  Units arrived on-scene to find a large tree blocking the roadway.  Cres quickly removed the tree from the road.  86-31 then went back in-service.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 8 on the call.
  • 10/18/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a tree down on the roadway.  Location given was Blue Knob Rd in the area of the village of Frigid.  Brush 86-71. Crews arrived onscene to find multiple trees down in the area.  86-71's crew removed all of the trees and then when back in service.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 8 on the call. 
  • 10/18/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a tree down on the roadway. Location given was 985 Knob Rd in Greenfield Twp.  Chief 86-01 and Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded on the call.  Units arrived on-scene and removed several trees from the roadway. The B.K.V.F.C. responded 6 on the call.  Chief 86-01 had command.
  • 10/18/09 04:36 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-4 box for a tree down on the roadway.  Location given was Johnstown rd near the Diamond Lane intersection in Juniata Twp.  Chief 86-02 and Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded on the call.   Units arrived on-scene and cleared the tree from the roadway.  The B.K.V.F.C responded 6 on the call.   Chief 86-02 had command. 
  • 10/17/09 15:50 The Blue Knob VFD recieved a still alarm into station for a tree down on the roadway.  Location given was Right Hand Gap Rd near Irene Ln in Greenfield Twp.  Brush 86-71 responded on the call and removed the tree.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 14 on the call.  Chief 86-02 had command.

    15:25 The Blue Knob VFD disptched to assist station 40 with a tree down.  Location given was near the AT&T Tower Rd on Johnstown Rd.  Brush/Utility 86-71 responded.  86-71 arrived on-scene to find a tree down on the roadway in Juniata Twp.  The tree was removed and all units cleared the scene.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 14 on the call.  Chief 86-02 had command.
  • 10/14/09 23:40 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-3 box for a MVA with possible fire. 825 Poplar Run Rd in Juniata Twp.   Chief 86-04, Engine/Rescue 86-31, and Engine/Tanker 86-21 responded on the call.  Other units that responded were Engine/Rescue 40-31, Engine/Rescue 20-31, and Mini Rescue 20-32.  Units arrived on-scene to find a vehicle that has crashed as resault of a high speed chase.  PD on-scene advised that one patient was in custody.   Fire units secured the vehicle a provided traffic control until the vehicle was removed.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 8 on the call. 
  • 10/12/09 02:39 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box for a tree down blocking the roadway.  Chief 86-01 and Engine/Rescue 86-31 both responded on the call to the area of 3100 Johnstown Rd in Juniata Twp.   The tree was removed and all units were placed inservice by 86-01.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 7 on the call.  
  • 10/7/09 13:39 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-3 box for a tree down blocking the roadway.  Brush 86-71 responded to the call on Poplar Run Rd approx 1.9 miles from the Johnstown Rd intersection.   86-71's crew removed a tree that was blocking the roadway.   After the tree was cleared 86-71 then went inservice.
  • 10/7/09 06:40 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the box 86-2 for a tree down blocking the roadway.  Location given was two miles west of the Blue Knob Intersection on Johnstown Rd.  Brush 86-71 responded on the call.  While enroute dispatch advised this was going to be two miles east of the Blue Knob Intersection.  Units arrived onscene to find a small tree on the roadway.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 6 on the call. 
  • 10/6/09 09:20 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded on the unconscious patient call.  86-31 arrived onscene at  3340 Johnstown Rd in Juniata Twp and provided medical first responce.  The BKVFD responded 7 on the call.
  • 9/27/09 20:28 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist Station 40 with a vehicle accident.   Engine/Rescue 86-31 and Brush 86-71 responded on the call. Location given was Johnstown Rd just west of Polecat Rd in Freedom Twp.  Units assisted FTPD with traffic control.  The BKVFD responded 14 on the call. 
  • 9/15/09 00:00 The Blue knob VFD dispathed for a QRS assist to 1640 Knob Run Rd in Juniata Twp.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded.  Once onscene the crew from 86-31 assisted ALS with extrication and patient care.  The BKVFC responded with 8 members.
  • 9/13/09 02:00 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist to 2 Bunnyhop Ln in Pavia Twp Bedford County.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded with 4.  Once onscne the crew from 86-31 provided patient care to the fall patient.   The crew assisted with extrication also.   86-31 went inservice after care was transfered to 414.   
  • 9/12/09 10:30 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box (call was in the 86-4 box) for a structure fire.  Location given was Johnstown Rd in the area of the Mt. Moriah Church.  Chief 86-01 responded and advised the possibility of a controlled burn in the area.  Responding on the box was Chiefs 86-01, 86-02, Pumper/Tanker 86-21, Engine/Rescue 40-31, Tanker 70-21, Engine 83-1, Truck 83-2, Engine 83-6, and Tanker 83-7.   86-21 arrived on-scene and confirmed a controlled burn, but did report that there were live wires down.  At this point the box was held to 86 units only. The BKVFD responded with 8 members.  Chief 86-01 had command. 
  • 9/11/09 14:30 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist Greenfield Twp PD at the scene of a Vehicle Accident on Overland Pass.  Assistant Chief 86-04 and Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded to Overland Pass and Shady Gap Rd for traffic control.  Units were onscene for 1 hour assisting GTPD.   Police Chief 841 had command.  
  • 9/1/09 09:02 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a Automatic Fire Alarm.  86-04 responded and held all other units in-station.  86-04 arrived onscene and confirmed false activation. 
  •  8/30/09 17:47 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a search.  86-71 and 86-31 responded to Chappell Field in the Blue Knob State Park to assist DCNR.   Unit were requested to help search for 3 females that were missing since around noon.   Crews from Blue Knob and Imler Area VFD searched for approx. 2 hours before the missing people were found.  86-02 had command. The BKVFD responded 11 on the call.
  •  8/30/09 10:03 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched of a QRS assist with EMS.   Squad 86-71 resonded and assisted EMS with patient care.  The BKVFD responded 7 on the assist.
  • 8/22/09 21:30 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist with HALAS unit from Claysburg.   Dispatched to 1304 Knob Rd.  86-31 responded with 5 members. 
  • 8/6/09  While 86-22 was assisting Station 20. Station 86 was dispatched for a fire alarm at the Blue Knob All Seasons Resort.  Engine/Tanker 86-21 responded to the Expressway Condo.  86-21 arrived on-scene to find an audible fire alarm and water coming from the sprinkler system.  Crew shut off the water source from the alarm system.  Crews also searched all three floors of the structure looking for fire or smoke condition.  None were found.  86-21 then went inservice.  The BKVFC responded 10 on the call. Chief 86-02 had command.
  • 8/6/09 03:30 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist station 20 at a structure fire on Route 36 in Blair Twp.  Tanker 86-22 responded with 2.  86-22 arrived on-scene and took its place in line to feed the  dump tank.  Crews brought the fire under control before 86-22 could drop its water.  86-22 was then placed inservice by Chief 20-01. 
  • 8/1/09 19:08 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist with Duncansville EMS.  QRS Engine/Rescue 86-31 responded to the call on Johnstown Rd in Juniata Twp.  Units arrived onscene and provided medical first responce.  Once ALS arrived onscene, the patient was extricated from the residence and into the Ambulance unit 429. 86-31 then went inservice.  The BKVFC responded 8 on the call. 
  • 7/28/09 While on drivers training, 86-31 was called to assist station 70 with an inside investigation for a possible oven fire.  86-31 was on Right Hand Gap Rd when responding.  A station 70 member was onscene reporting fire out and no smoke condition.  The BKVFC responded with 8 members.  
  • 7/19/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist station 40 with a MVA.  Engine/Rescue 86-31 and Brush/Utility 86-71 responded to the call on Johnstown Rd neat the Martz Rd intersection.  While approching the scene 40-04 advised 86-31 to setup traffic between Martz Rd and the Smith Cornor Church.  86-71 proceeded to Martz Rd to hold traffic there.   Crews assisted with traffic control until placed inservice by command.  The BKVFC responded 7 on the assist.
  • 7/10/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 70-1 box for an industrial fire on Wildcat Ln.  While crews were staffing 86-21, 86-22 and 86-31, the box was held to station 70 only.  The BKVFC was canceled before hitting the street.  The BKVFC responded 10 on the assist.   70-12 had command. 
  • 6/27/09 The BKVFD dispatched on the 42-3 box to setup a landing zone.   Engine/Rescue 86-31 and Chief 86-01 responded on the call.  Units arrived on location at the Pavia Ball Field andsetup a LZ for StatMedevac 11.   Pt was loaded into the helicoter and Station 86 went inservice. The B.K.V.F.C. responded  13 on the call.  Chief 86-01 had LZ command.  Chief 42-1 had command
  • 6/27/09 16:45 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist station 40 for a motorcycle accident.  The address reported was Route 164 and Polecat Rd.   Engine/Rescue 86-31, Engine/Tanker 86-21, and Squad 86-71 responded on the call.  Crews arrived on-scene and assisted with patient care and traffic control.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 10 on the assist.   Chief 40-01 had command. 
  • 6/25/09 20:00 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-3 box for a MVA with injuries.  Chief 86-01, Engine/Rescue 86-31, and Squad 86-71 responded on the call to 300 Burket Hollow Rd in Juniata Twp.  Station 20 was also dispatched and responded 20-31 and 20-32.  Crews arrived on-scene and assisted EMS with patient care.  Station 20 handled a landing zone for StatMedevac 11.   The B.K.V.F.C. responded 11 on the call.  Chief 86-01 had command. 
  • 6/19/09 15:30 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a MVA with injuries on Overland Pass Greenfield Twp.  Engine/Rescue 86-31, Brush/Utility 86-71, Engine 70-12, and Chief 86-04 responded on the call.  Crews arrived on-scene to find a two car accident and the roadway blocked.  Crews secured the scene and provided traffic contol while Greenfield Pd did their investigation.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 12 on the call.  86-04 had command. 
  • 6/18/09 12:00 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist with HALAS unit 417.  11 Timberman Rd. in Greenfield Twp.  Near the Blue Knob All Seasons Resort.  86-71 responded on the assist. 
  • 6/17/09  23:30 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a tree down blocking the roadway.   86-71 and 86-04 responded to the location near 2006 Knob Rd in Juniata Twp.  Once on-scene crew used chainsaws to remove the tree from the roadway.  All units were back insevice in 15 minutes.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 8 on the call.
  • 6/12/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist with HALAS 417.  Qrs 86-71 and 86-04 responded to the location of 175 Union Rd, Pavia Twp, Bedford County.   The B.K.V.F.D.  provided BLS to the patient until 417 arrived on-scene.   The B.K.V.F.D. responded 8 on the assist.
  • 6/5/09 13:50 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist to AMED 441.  QRS 86-71 responded for an unresponsive patient at 3201 Johnstown Rd in Juniata Twp. 
  • 6/4/09 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box for a MVA.  Location given was Johnstown Rd 1 mile east of the Blue Knob intersection.  Engine/Rescue 86-12, QRS 86-71, and Engine/Tanker 86-21 all responded on the call.  Station 40 was dispatched for 40-31.  86-04 arrived on-scene to find the accident in Freedom Twp.   Crews found one vehicle overturned on the roadway.  The patient was self extricated.   Crews assisted PD with traffic control and clean-up.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 19 on the call.  Chief 40-01 had command.
  • 5/14/09 23:52 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist station 40 with a vehicle accident with injuries.  Location given was 6 miles from the traffic light in East Freedom on route 164 west toward Blue Knob.   Engine-Rescue 86-12, Engine-Tanker 86-21 and Brush 86-71 all responded on the assist.    86-12 arrived on-scene to find 1 vehicle over an embankment with no one inside the vehicle. The accident scene was found to be in Juniata Twp. 3 Thermal Cameras were used to search the area for any patients.    Crew from 86 and 40 as well as PD looked for the Patient in a wooded area nearby.   Crew assisted PD with traffic contol while they did an investigation and also while the vehicle was removed from the scene.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 9 members on the call.  40-01 had command. 
  • 5/9/09 16:32  While our ATV run EMS was dispatched for an ATV accident near puzzletown.   EMS in the area requesting the fire department for a possible physical rescue.   Reports from the medic onscene that the accident was in the 86 coverage area of Juniata Twp.  The Blue Knob VFD responded in private vehicles to assist with the rescue.   86 accessed via Polpar Run Rd.    EMS unit 422 and Blue Knob VFD was advised by bystandard that the patient was transported by an ATV to a residence in Freedom Twp.   The Blue Knob VFD went in service after finding the patients new location.  
  • 5/9/09 14:06 While our ATV run, The Blue Knob VFD was dispatched for an ATV accident on mile 19 of our trail.  First Responders and trail riders responded to the call via ATV's.   QRS from 86 on scene reporting a serious accident an requested Medivac to the scene.    Qrs assisted with patient care and also setup a landing zone in a remote area for Stat Medivac 11.   Chief 86-01 had command.  
  • 5/4/09  22:00 Blue Knob VFD dispatched for a QRS assist to HALAS unit 417.   Brush 86-71 responded to the seizure call on Knob Rd.   QRS assisted with initial assesment and patient extrication.   The B.K.V.F.C. responded 8 on the assist. 
  •  4/28/09 17:00 The Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a Brush/Trash fire at 155 Bagpipe Ln Greenfield Twp.  Engine-Tanker 86-21, Tanker  86-22, Engine 86-12, and Brush 86-71 reponded on the call.  86-21 arrived onscene and dropped 700' of LDH up the lane.   Crews pulled 4 line to start the attack on the fire of approx 200 tires, 8 vehicles, and many household appliances.    A tanker shuttle was started to bring water to the scene.   55 thousand gallons of water and 120 gallons of foam were used to bring the blaze under control.  86-04 had command.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 19 on the call.  A special Thanks to all our mutial aid companies. 
  • 4/17/09  18:15 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 70-3 box for a brush fire.   Brush 86-71 and Tanker 86-22 responded on the call to 314 Walter Hollow Rd.   86's crew pulled a 1 3/4" line from 86-22 and assisted with suppression.   Once the fire was contained all 86 units were place inservice by 70-01.   The B.K.V.F.D. responded 8 on the assist.   70-01 had command.  
  • 4/15/09  18:00 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-4 box for a MVA with unknown injuries on Johnstown Rd near the Majestic World Acres Elk Farm.  Engine/Rescue 86-12 QRS 86-71 and Engine/Tanker 86-21 responded on the call.  In addition Portage FD was dispatched for Rescue 83.   Units searched Johnstown Rd from the Freedom Twp Line to the Cambria County line and found nothing.  Units later found the caller and she took us to the scene of the accident.   Before FD arrival the unit was removed and nothing was found.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 10 on the call.  86-02 had command .
  • 4/1/09 16:30  Blue Knob VFD dispacted for a QRS assist to station 420.   Brush 86-71 responded to the chest pain call on Coppock Rd.   Crew started initail assesment and helped with extrication.  The B.K.V.F.D. rsponded 8 on the call. 
  • 3/19/09  14:15   Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-3 box for a brush fire at 224 Nicewonger Rd.   Brush 86-71 responded as well as 20-21 and 20-41.   Units arrived onscene to find an approx. 3 acres on fire.  Crew from Blue Knob and Duncansville worked to catch the head of the fire.  Freedom Twp FD was also dispatched for 40-71 and 40-22.   Crews worked 1 hour to contain the fire.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 5 on the call.  86-04 was I.C.  
  • 3/10/09 06:15  Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist Portage FD with a MVA at the intersection of Frankstown Rd and Gigguetown Rd Portage Twp Cambria County.  Engine-Rescue 86-12 and Squad 86-71 responded on the assist.   When approching scene 86 called 83 I.C. for orders.  83 command placed all 86 units in-service.  The B.K.V.F.C. responded 11 on the assist.
  • 3/8/09  11:45 Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist Duncansville EMS with a lift assist.    Station 86 responded with 8 to Burkett Hollow Rd Juniata Twp.   86-02 had command.  
  • 3/7/09  Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 70-02 box for a reported structure fire.   Engine-Tanker 86-21 and Tanker 86-22 rsponded to the call at 2102 Queen Rd.  After responding all units were updated that this was a brush fire. Once Chief 70-01 was onscene the box was held to station 70 only.   70-01 was I.C.    
  • 3/5/09 17:00  Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 70-01 box to assist Claysburg FD with a brush fire.  Tanker 86-22 and Brush 86-71 responded to the fire on Ski Gap Rd.  Once onscene the crew held a position near Ski Gap Rd and Buttermilk Hollow.    Units were placed in-service once the fire was under control.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 10 on the assist.  70-03 was I.C.
  • 2/23/09 11:30  Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 70-3 box for a working structure fire.  Tanker 86-22 responded to the call on Walters Hollow Rd, Kimmel Twp Bedford County.   Once onscene the tanker provided water shittles to the scene.  86-22's crew provided fire suppression along with Claysburgs and Imlers crews.  Crews were out for over 4 hours.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 3 on the assist.  Chief 70-01 was I.C. 
  •  2/20/09  08:15 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box for a MVA at 3290 Johnstown Rd.  Engine-Rescue 86-12 responded as well as Station 40.  Units arrived onscene to find a single vehicle on its side.   All 4 patients self extricated from the vehicle.   86-05 requested station 40 and 70 cancel.   Crews stablized the vehicle and provided traffic contol until PSP arrived.  B.K.V.F.D. responded 5 on the call. 86-05 was I.C.
  • 2/12/09 07:00 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 42-2 box for a working structure fire on Swamp Bottom Rd off of North Imler Valley Rd.   Engine-Tanker 86-21 responded.   Once on-scene the engine crew help with interior suppression and overhaul.   Crews were out for over 2 1/2 hours.   The B.K.V.F.D. responded 8 on the assist.  Chief 42-1 was the I.C.   
  • 2/4/09 22:00  Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-1 box for a fuel spill.  Squad 86-71 and Engine-Rescue 86-12 responded to the call on Ski Gap Rd just below the Barnes Farm.  Crews arrived onscene to find a ruptured saddle tank on a large tow truck.   Crews worked to contain the spill and patch the rupture.   Approx.  40 gallons of fuel spilled from the tank.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 9 members on the call.  86-04 was the I.C. 
  • 2/3/08 20:00 Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist the Portage FD with an engine transfer to Station 83.   Engine-Tanker 86-21 responded to Station 83 and covered fire district 83 for 2 hours.  Station 83 was working a job in Portage Twp.   86-21 returned to station around 22:00.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 6 on the transfer. 
  • 2/1/09 02:41 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box for a MVA vehicle over an embankment.  Location given was Route 164 near the Long Farm.    Engine-Rescue 86-12 and Squad 86-71 responded to the call.   Once onscene crews found a single vehicle over the enbankment with the patient self extricated.   40-31 also responded on the call and was placed inservice shortly after arriving onscene.  86 crews did traffic control at the request of PSP until the vehicle was removed.  B.K.V.F.D. responded 7.  Chief 86-03 had command. 
  • 1/28/09 16:00 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-03 box for a MVA on route 164 near the Cambria and Blair County line.   Once again Engine-Rescue 86-12, Engine-Tanker 86-21 and Squad  86-71 responded to the MVA 86-04 went direct.   Once onscene crew found a SUV that slid off of the roadway and hit a tree.  Patient refused EMS.   40-31 was reponding on the call and was placed back inservice.  86 crews provided traffic control.  The B.K.V.F.D. reponded 12 members on the Call.  86-04 had command.
  • 1/28/09 14:30 Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist station 40 with a MVA just east of the intersection of Route 164 and Polecat Hollow Rd.    Engine-Rescue 86-12, Engine-Tanker 86-21 and Squad  86-71 responded to the MVA.   Chief 40-01 onscene request Route 164 shut down at the Polecat intersection.   86 crews were placed insevice after the roadway was cleared.  The B.K.V.F.D. responded 9 on the assist.  Chief 40-01 had command.
  • 1/27/09 21:00 after placing our new Jaws-of-Life inservice an hour before the call.  Chief 86-01 on the air requesting 86 for a MVA on Rt 164 near the Juniata, Freedom Twp line. Before the company was dispatched Engine-Rescue 86-12 and Squad 86-71 went enroute.   While enroute Chief 86-01 reporting 3 vehicles, one  of which was himself.  Station 40 was requested for an assist and also 2 additional EMS units were requested.   Crews arrived on scene to find 2 vehicles and a Chartered Bus.   Crews went to work assessing patients and damage. After PSP's investigation crews cleared the roadway and reopened traffic in both directions.  86 was out for approx.  1 1/2 hours.   B.K.V.F.D. responded 13 on the call. (14 if you count the chief!)  86-04 was I.C.  
  • 1/27/09 17:02 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 70-01 box assisting Claysburg FD with a possible structure fire at 109 Whitetail Ct.   Engine-Tanker 86-21 and Tanker 86-22 responded within 4 minutes of the dispatch.  While en-route Chief 70-01 onscene reporting an oven fire now out.   Command held the box to Engine 70-12 only.  All units were placed inservice.  86 units returned to station.  B.K.V.F.D. responded 6 on the assist.
  • 1/25/09 21:45 Blue Knob VFD dispatched assisting Claysburg FD with a possible structure fire.   As crews were gathering to respond to the call on Polecat Hollow Rd, Asst. Chief 70-02 held all units in-station.   After investigation 70-02 placed all units inservice. 
  • 1/8/09 20:00 Blue Knob VFD dispatched on the 86-2 box for a MVA near the Long Farm on Johnstown Road.   Squad 86-71 and Engine-Rescue 86-12 responded to the MVA.  Once onscene crews found one vehicle into a tree.   Patients were self extricated and were at a nearby residence.  Crews secured the vehicle and provided traffic control. 86-71's crew made patient contact and decided a need for EMS to be dispatched.   86-12's crew assisted with scene cleanup.  The BKVFD had 11 members on the call.  Chief 86-03 was the I.C.  
  • 1/3/09 16:30 Blue Knob VFD dispatched to assist Freedom Twp Station 40 with a motor vehicle accident.  Engine-Rescue 86-12 responded to the assist at the intersection of Route 164 and Polecat Hollow Rd in Freedom Twp.  Chief 40-01 was first onscene reporting 1 vehicle rollover with no entrapment.  40-01 requested 86-12 to handle traffic control on the westbound side of the accident.  86-12 was onscene for approx. 1 hour.  Chief 40-01 placed the box back insevice after the vehicle was removed from the roadway. The B.K.V.F.D. responded 9 members on the call.
